About Dana and the Lanyard

I spent many years as a project manager, which is a polite way of saying I was paid to notice things. Slipped timelines, quiet resentments, who always lingers by the coffee machine when a certain someone walks in. Eventually I understood that I had been collecting data for a much better project: the way grown, capable adults get flustered by a shared elevator and a late deadline. This site is where I file my findings.

Lanyard Confessions is for people who take their careers seriously and their crushes slightly less so. The stories are flirty, a little sensual, and always dressed for work. Names and details have been changed, doors close politely when they should, and nothing here gets explicit. I prefer tension that unfolds slowly and tidily, like a well-run agenda, and then refuses to adjourn.

When I want to hear a story told aloud, I go to TheFriend, where you can meet AI characters and listen to their voices. They are AI characters, not real people, and I like them for exactly that reason: they never forward anything. If you read something here and want to keep the conversation going, that is where I would send you.
